Obituary of Donald Cole
Donald (Poppi) Cole, 77, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 27, 2019. He was born in Orlando, FL, to Jeff and Louise Cole, and attended Boone High School in 1960 and electrician school in 1961.
Don was passionate about his family, work, and life. He was a member of Dictaphone’s dart team, Cub Scout Pack Master for Troop #375, an avid scuba diver, enjoyed watching NFL and college football, and loved NASCAR.
During his career, he worked at the Brevard County School Systems, Walt Disney World Orlando, the Khartoum Hilton Hotel in Sudan, Africa, Eastern Florida State College (BCC), and Dictaphone Corporation (retired after 26 years of service). His career took him and his family halfway around the world and giving him the opportunity to meet former U.S. President, Ronald Reagan.
Don is survived by his wife of 56 years Frankie and fur kids Todd and Nicolas; son, Christopher Cole of Melbourne; daughter, Eileen Cole of Palm Bay; and six grand fur babies, Bob, Czarina, Jasmine, Marguerite, Sebastian, and Sophie.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on Saturday, November 9, at 11:30 a.m. at the Highland Avenue Fellowship (St. Paul’s United Methodist) Church, 1591 Highland Avenue in Melbourne.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the AZAN Shriners Center in Melbourne and the SPCA of Brevard in Titusville.
