Obituary of Robert E. Giusti

Robert Eugene Giusti, Sr. (Bob), age 85, born on February 20, 1933 in Auburn, New York, passed on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Holmes Regional Medical Center, Melbourne, Florida. A US Army Veteran, he retired from Chrysler Corporation where he worked as a Machinist. Bob could often be found playing Bingo or at the closest casino (until his allowance was gone). He enjoyed “tinkering” with old lawn mowers, fishing, spending time outdoors, gardening, going for long rides to no where, and playing with his cat, Angel. His smile and laugh could brighten a room. Always down for a party and the first one to crack open a beer. He was a fun loving and joyful man. Full of wit, charm, and love for his family. From his funny songs that rhyme to his musical talents on the ukulele and harmonica (which he was even talented enough to play through his nose). He was a rock, staple, and example to all those that loved him. Always willing to lend some advice, guidance, and love. There will always a place at the end of the table and a glass of wine in his honor. He was one of a kind and will be missed dearly. His family includes his wife of 62 years, Rose Ann Giusti; son Robert E. Giusti, Jr. and his partner, Karen Redman; daughter MaryAnn Giusti Young and her partner, Jeffrey Bennett; grandchildren, David (Kristin) Young, Bradley (Giulia) Young, Christina (Michael) Giovannini, Christopher Giusti, Dr. Miranda (Brennan) Giusti and Cady Giusti; his sister, Lorraine DeChick; along with many nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 1pm to 3pm on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 1001 Hickory Street, Melbourne. Services will begin at 3pm in the funeral home chapel, with Deacon Bill Terneus of Ascension Catholic Church officiating and military honors provided by American Legion Post 81. In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial donations to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital
