Obituary of John Whitfield

John Sanders Whitfield, 45, died peacefully Monday, February 1, 2016 at home. John was born and grew up in Palm Bay, later moving to the Lake Tahoe area as a snowboard enthusiast and attending Sierra College. He is survived by his parents Patricia and Russell Whitfield, sister Karen Gibson, niece Sierra Gibson, nephew David Gibson, dear friend Marlo Weinstein, and faithful dog Odin. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 1001 South Hickory Street, Melbourne. A celebration of John’s life will follow at 5:00 PM.In lieu of flowers please consider donations for the South Animal Care Center.
