Obituary of Millard Dempsey Hales

Millard Dempsey Hales passed away Friday, January 6, 2017. He was born August 8, 1923 in Chestnut Louisiana . He was a WWII Veteran and served his country in the US Navy as an Aviation Machinist. He married his childhood sweetheart, Elsie Margaret O'steen in 1945. The family moved to Brevard County in 1963 where he worked for Radiation/Harris as a building superintendent until his retirement. He is survived by his loving sons David (Brenda) and Tim (Pam), his grandchildren, Christi Whitlow (Gary), Jennifer Johnson (Ray), Karla Kalbfleisch (Kurt), Joey Byer, and several loving great and great, great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Rosie Durden, his brothers, Houston and Wilton Hales, his son Wayne Hales, and his wife of 58 years, Elsie Margaret Hales. A military honors service will be held at Ammen Funeral Home, 1001 S. Hickory St, Melbourne, Fl at 10:30 AM on Saturday, January 21, 2017.
