In Loving Memory – David Griglio, 76 David Griglio, 76, of Hillsdale, Michigan passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 23, 2019, in his winter home in Melbourne, Florida. Born February 3, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late Henry and Florence Griglio. He is survived by his beloved family, his daughters: Audrey Florence (Jose Julian) Padilla and Andrea Ellen (Bryce) Lindahl; Two grandchildren Axel Joseph Pann and Elvi Paige Lindahl. Siblings: Mike (Nadine); Florence (Jack) Lanthier; Paul (Crete-late) Griglio; Carol (Chuck) Dujsik; Phil (Debbie); Larry; and Steve (Kathy). He was pre-deceased by his son-in-law, Joseph Pann, Jr. David was a teacher for 27 years at Reading Elementary School, in Reading, Michigan. He taught Kindergarten, 4th Grade and Physical Education. He served in the United States Coast Guard reserves; Graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Eastern Michigan University. He enjoyed weekly bible study and was a born-again believer at Cornerstone Church of God in Melbourne, Florida. His passion was sharing his love and faith in Jesus Christ. David was a devoted father and hands-on grandfather. He adored his grandchildren as well as two grand-dogs, Labradors named Riley and Cody. He was a huge Michigan State fan. He was an avid reader, music and nature lover, and enjoyed watching college sports, especially basketball and football. He enjoyed traveling and camping and covered most of the continental U.S as well as Mexico, Jamaica, and Europe. David had many friends and loved to meet new people. He lived an eco-conscious and thrifty life and took pride in stretching a dollar. He cleaned up our beaches and parks. He had a big heart for the homeless and less fortunate, often cooking and serving meals as well as providing shelter. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Daily Bread, Inc. an organization that houses and feeds the beach populations’ homeless, 815 E. Hickory St, Melbourne, Florida, 32901. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
