Obituary of Ela N. Rodriguez

Ela Rodriguez; was 89 a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother when she passed away in Palm Bay FL on Saturday January 20, 2018 at 12:15 pm. Ela was born in Gueiva, Cuba in 1928. Ela and her husband Rene lived through their remaining years in Union City, NJ for approximately 50 +/- years. There they owned and operated a glass company by the name of Rodriguez Glass Co., until they retired from the business. It was then left to their son Rene. After their retirement from the glass industry they relocated to Palm Bay FL in late 2016 to live with her Daughter Daisy and son in law Jose. Ela was married to her husband Rene for 67 years. Ela enjoyed working and creating figurines with ceramics, she also was a seamstress while sewing for the family and loved to bake birthday cakes for her granddaughter and her young grandson. She also enjoyed visiting with her grand kids and great grand children. Ela is survived by her husband Rene G. Rodriguez, Daughter Daisy Arroyo son in law Jose Arroyo and Son Rene Rodriguez with 7 grandchildren: Michael, Daisy, Vanessa, Alex, Alberto, Alejandro, Emmanuel and 6 great grand children: Gavin, Kaylee, Aaliyah, Erik, Max and Gaby. Ela will be greatly missed by her family loved ones. Services will be held at Ammen Family Cremation & Funeral Care, 950 Malabar Rd, SE Palm Bay on Wednesday, January 24th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
