Obituary of Mary Ann Omrod
Mary Ann Omrod, formerly of Melbourne Beach, FL, Strathmere and Haddonfield, NJ, died peacefully at home with her family at her side on Thanksgiving, November 23, 2017.
Born July 21, 1937 in Newark, NJ, and raised in Springfield, NJ, Mary was the daughter of the late Agnes O’Connor and George Richelo. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son Scott and brothers George and Eugene. She was a graduate of Mount St. Mary’s Academy, Watchung, NJ and Immaculata University, Immaculata, PA.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 58 years, G. Richard and their children Sandra and husband Anthony, Suzanne and husband David, Stephen, Annemarie and Paul and wife Maureen. She also leaves behind her brothers Richard, James and Gerard, grandchildren Molly, Adam, David, Michael, Kristina, Elizabeth and Caitlin, as well as many nieces and nephews. Her many friends in Strathmere and Melbourne Beach will miss her dearly.
The family would like to give special thanks to the wonderful physicians and nurses at Shore Memorial Medical Center, Somers Point, NJ and Holmes Regional Medical Center, Melbourne, FL, as well as the staff of Vitas Hospice for their care and concern.

Services will be held Saturday, December 9 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 126 44th Street, Sea Isle City, NJ. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:30 a.m. with Eucharistic Mass to follow.
