Obituary of Jeff McGuire

Jeff McGuire, age 55, resident of Palm Bay FL, left to be with his Lord and Savior unexpectedly from unforeseen circumstances on September 18, 2019. Jeff was born on April 26, 1964, to Joe McGuire and Alice Downey in Streator, IL. He grew up in the small town of Rutland, IL until he moved to Palm Bay, FL at the age of sixteen. He has two older brothers, Joey and Dave and two sisters, Dorothy and Sue. He met his lovely wife, Laurie McGuire, in 1990 and married her in 1991. They were faithfully married for 28 years. Jeff will be missed by his wife and 5 children: Jason, Josh, Jeremy, Kevin, and his baby girl Krystal. He is also survived by four daughters-in-law who gave him eight amazing grandchildren, whom he loved dearly, as well as multiple nieces, nephews and other relatives. He worked and served his community in many ways, most recently at a local university where he provided beauty and tranquility for the students and staff. Jeff loved to visit the Port with his wife and watch the cruise ships pull out. He also loved taking his children to play Frisbee golf. Jeff enjoyed the occasional game of corn hole at family events, entertaining his grandkids, playing Rook, reading his bible, and watching his favorite local bands The Kore and Absolute Blue. Most of all, of course, he loved to talk and make friends. Jeff was very much a part of his community and church, touching a lot of people’s hearts, and all of his friends touched his. He will be missed by all and will never be forgotten, as many of his friends have made clear by their actions. The family extends their deepest gratitude to all who have been there for them and have shown their support in multiple ways. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations can be made to the family. The family welcomes you to join them in a celebration of Jeff’s life and to share memories of your time with him at 11 am on Sunday, September 29th at the FIT campus.
