Obituary of Valentino Dino DiCrocco

Valentino Dino DiCrocco, 68, was born in Itri, Latina, Italy to the late Concetta Pannozzo DiCrocco and Francesco DiCrocco. His passing on October 12, 2019 was in Palm Bay, Florida surrounded by his immediate family. Born January 16, 1951, he immigrated to the United States in December of 1969 and loved this country as well as his homeland. He was married in Providence, Rhode Island on Feb. 19, 1977 to Bonnie Wenz DiCrocco. Father of four sons, whom he loved dearly and also grandfather and step-grandparent to eight. His joy was his family both here and his siblings, nieces and nephews in Italy and the US. Valentino is survived by his wife, Bonnie; sons, Norman Carlo DiCrocco, Victor Arthur DiCrocco (wife Heather), Daniel Marco DiCrocco (partner Haylee), and Vincent Dino DiCrocco. Valentino would often tell wondrous poignant stories of his childhood and family in Italy – land of pasta, people, and passions. His family then and now embodied every one of those traits while enjoying huge steaming mounds of spaghetti-laden tables surrounded by friends and family — all who gathered to feast, laugh, cry, and most of all love. His pure enjoyment of cooking, of baking fresh bread, playing card, is the memories we will cherish. He treasured visits back to Italy playing tour guide to family while sharing his love of history. The family reunions were huge, loud, fun times. So much of their family history had been lost, so Valentino was beyond pleased when Bonnie researched their family tree back to the mid 1600’s and then wrote a family history book for both his immediate and extended family encompassing so much of the history of their birthplace. But greater than all of this was his faith in Jesus as his personal Savior. His faith was not just personal but something he freely shared with all who knew him. It gives us the blessed assurance that we will be together again some wonderful day! Till then, he is missed and loved now and forever! A funeral service will be held at 11:30 A.M. Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Ammen Family  Cremation and Funeral Care, 950 Malabar Road SE, Palm Bay, FL (321) 724-2224. Burial will follow at Fountain Head Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service. Condolences online at afcfcare.com
