Obituary of Frances J. Martindill

Frances J. Martindill, 81, of Titusville, Florida for the past 4 years and long time resident of Columbus, Ohio prior to moving to Florida, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018 with both of her daughters by her side. Frances was born in Alderson, West Virginia on June 22, 1937 to the parents of Hill & Maybelle Thompson who preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by Vernon Martindill her husband of 56 years and by three sisters, Irene Beem, Hilda Jones, and Joyce Kellar. Frances is survived by her two daughters, Sharon Campbell-James and Victoria (James P) Dickson, her sister Phyllis (Jerry) Hart and long time best friend Sandy Dameron.  She has five grandchildren, Joshua (Machell) Ryan, Paula Jane (Kenneth Ernsbarger) Lowry, Jeremy Ryan, David (Michelle) Lowry and Jason Ryan.  She has five great grandchildren, Tyler Ryan, Hannah Ryan, Gabriella Ryan, Nathaniel Lowry & Annabelle Lowry.  She has many nieces and nephews. Frances retired after 41 years of service to White Castle Systems.  She was outgoing and enjoyed meeting new friends. She loved to travel and to play games. Frances loved her family and her many, many friends. Her friends and family referred to her as, “The Queen.” She was well loved will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
