Obituary of George Dee “Butch” Nickels

George GÇ£ButchGÇ¥ Nickels, 69, of Cocoa, passed away February 13, 2014, peacefully at home with his loving daughter at his side. Butch was born March 31, 1944 in Kewanna, Indiana to Albert and Georgia Nickels. He was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. Butch’s greatest joy was the simple things in life such as hunting, farming and spending time with his family in the outdoors. In his passing he leaves his three daughters; Shelly Cope and Lorie Nickels of Cocoa and Penny Nickels of Rochester, Indiana; son-in-law, Robert Smith of Cocoa; grandsons, Eric Junkin, Kevin Junkin and Ronald Boorman, Jr.; great-grandson, Bryce Junkin; sisters, Carol Nickels and Barbara Andrews; a brother, Dave Nickels and several nieces and nephews. Butch will be dearly missed and remembered for who he was and the lives he touched.Services will be held privately. A celebrating of life will be held at a later date.
