Obituary of Patricia Watson Thornton

Patricia Watson Thornton, age 87, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 19, 2019 in Palm Bay, FL. She was surrounded by her husband and children. She was born in Lamar, South Carolina and traveled extensively throughout the world with her husband, Air Force Lt. Col. William (Bill) Thornton, before settling in Spartanburg, SC to raise a family. Pat was highly involved in the community and a die-hard Clemson Tiger fan. A natural artist whose paintings were displayed in many galleries, she brought joy to many with her artistic talent. She was past president of the Palm City Art Association. A loving and devoted wife and mother, her family includes her husband Bill (married for 61 years), her daughter Katherine and her husband Brian, her son Frederick and his wife Lisa, granddaughters Kristen and Katelyn, and sister Jean Gibson. Donations may be made in her name to the William Childs Hospice House, 381 Medplex Pkwy, Palm Bay, FL 32907.
