Obituary of Jeanette E. Bowers

Jeanette (Jinger) E. Bowers 67, of Palm Bay, Florida, passed away calmly and peacefully at the Indian River Center with her husband by her side on March 24, 2020 under the care of the VITAS Hospice staff after a 13 year battle with dementia. Jinger was born on June 30, 1952 in Tampa, Florida to her proud parents, Louis J. Middlebrook and  Jeanette A. Middlebrook who both predeceased her. She grew up in Tampa and Brandon, graduated King High School, Class of 1970, and later attended Hillsborough Community College where she received an A.A. degree while being honored on the National Deans list for 1996, 1997 and 1998. During that time she was also a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Society. Jinger worked at many challenging professions. She held a Florida’s Real Estate License during the 1980s and 1990s and worked several years in the life insurance industry and food brokerage profession before dementia forced an early retirement in 2007. Her husband, James F. Bowers, and her son James F. Bowers II and daughter-in-law, Tami L. Bowers survive her along with her two loving grandchildren, Louis J. Bowers and Aaron Z. Bowers. Her mother-in-law, Lois J. Bowers (94) of Punta Gorda, Florida also survive her along with numerous Nephews, Nieces and Cousins. She enjoyed family, friends and travel but mostly she enjoyed being with her son and grandchildren.  She was a loving and giving wife and mother and was loved by whoever met her. Jinger’s wish was to be cremated so no viewing is scheduled.  Also, due to recent events with the virus, all services are being postponed until a later date. She is being cared for at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, located at 1001 South Hickory Street in Melbourne, Florida.
