Obituary of Paul Platt
Paul Platt passed away peacefully after a long struggle with kidney disease at William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay on June 29, 2019 at the age of 66.
Paul was born to parents Minor Platt and Marjorie Shave in Melbourne Florida. He was the baby of seven children and grew up to follow in his father’s footsteps as a cattleman. He went to Melbourne High School and worked many jobs throughout his lifetime including but not limited to fisherman, carpenter, electrician, land clearing, and truck driver, all the while continuing to run his own ranch.
Paul enjoyed the outdoors a great deal. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and sports clay shooting and tried to instill that same love to his children and grandchildren. He was also a coach to his children in basketball, soccer, and softball.
Paul is survived by his wife of 36 years, Tena and their children, son Shawn Platt (daughter-in-law Christy), daughter Teri King (son-in-law Kevin), daughter Nicole Platt-Mitil (son-in-law Scarvensky) and daughter Michelle Platt (future son-in-law Brian). He also has 8 grandchildren; Tori, Devin, Rebekah, Ava, Zachary, Trinity, Emmy and Kaleb.
Paul is also survived by his two older sisters Mary MontsDeOca and Marilyn (Sissy) Platt as well as his two older brothers Minor (Buddy) And Roy.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents as well as his older sister Marjorie Murphy and older brother Harold Platt.
