Obituary of Mildred Wilcox

Beloved mother Mildred Wilcox passed away suddenly at her resident, Buena Vida Estates in Melbourne, Florida on Monday April 30, 2018 at the age of 88. She was born in Zuni, Virginia on April 2, 1930. Mildred married the love of her life James G. Wilcox Jr. on May 18, 1948; setting her on a life journey with James and her family on numerous adventures across the world supporting James’ Coast Guard career. She is survived by her husband of 69+ years James G. Wilcox Jr. and her three children Gail S. Garvin; James G. Wilcox. III (Carol) and Debra L. Wilcox. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; and her identical twin sister Margaret A. Gordon of Ivor, Virginia; plus several nieces and nephews. Mildred lived her life to the fullness with her passion for family and friends, her totally humorous ways, her love of traveling, cruises and beach time and her competitive spirit made her a rather unique Southern Belle.
