Sally O’Hara

Obituary of Sally Ann O’Hara

Sally Ann O’Hara, 66, with her sister and niece by her side, took the hand of Jesus and went home to our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 12, 2016. Sally was born on August 23, 1949 in Camden, NJ, and later moved to Florida where she lived with her sister, Laura, and her family, and would eventually come to live with her niece, Marnie, and her family. Sally loved to sing and dance, and was the life of every party she attended. She loved good food, good wine, and all things gourmet. She loved going to Mass and watching football on Sundays, and was a big fan of the Jacksonville Jaguars. She loved her big sisters, Laura and Kathleen, and her twin sister Patty. Sally especially loved spending time with her great nieces, to whom she was an Honorary Godmother, and loved pushing them on the swings in the backyard, dancing with them in the family room, watching them ride their bikes, and would tell them stories of her adventure filled life. Sally had special needs, but she never let that hold her back from living her life to the fullest. She taught us more than we could’ve ever taught her. She loved everyone unconditionally, and was truly a child of God, spreading His love effortlessly. She was “Aunt Sally” to everyone she met, and the lives of the people who knew her will never be the same. She lived, she laughed, and mostly, she LOVED. We will miss her every day of our lives… Sally was preceded in death by her parents, David and Laura O’Hara, and brothers, Frank and David O’Hara. Her family includes her sisters Laura Rose (William) Geitz, Patricia Sirolli and Kathleen (Dominic) Fiorelli; nieces and nephews Marnie (William) Fasanella, Katie (Thomas) Weekley, Amanda (Brian) Mannix, Brian Geitz, William (Angela) Geitz, Charles (Kimberly) Geitz, Donna (Robert) Tucci, George (Nancy) Fiorelli, Colleen O’Hara, Bernadette (Trip) Taylor, Frank (Rachel) O’Hara and numerous great nieces and great nephews.A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 3050 North Highway A1A, Indialantic on Monday, July 25, 2016 at 11:00 AM.Donations can be made to William Childs Hospice House, 381 Medplex Parkway, Palm Bay, FL 32905.
