Obituary of Irene Louise Liddell Howard
Irene Louise Liddell Howard 85, was born on June 25, 1932 and made her grand entrance into heaven by the grace & free gift of salvation from our Lord Jesus Christ on February 7, 2018.
Irene leaves behind a legacy of love, joy and peace, her sweet spirit so evident to all she knew and met through her lifetime. Her Kindness, radiance and the happiness she brought to others will never be forgotten by everyone who knew her as she will be greatly missed until we are reunited with her in heaven. She was a true servant of God in every way and every day. Her career started out as a bank teller in her hometown city of New York which she enjoyed immensely growing up in with her parents, Neil & Mary Liddell and older brother, William. Shortly after starting work, her knight in shining armor, John William Howard swept her off her feet and stole her heart. She is finally reunited with him after 39 years of truly missing him. The jubilant birth of her first born daughter, Alice Louise, started her fulfilling career of being a mother and housewife. The NASA space program in Cape Canaveral, Florida lured the young couple to Brevard County with their 2 year old baby, which has remained their home ever since. With the addition of 3 more children, Jeanette Mary Ann, Wendy Lee,and her son John William she devoted herself to serving her family and friends joyfully and with a cheerful heart. Her career in her later years was as a certified nurses assistant, which she took care of quite a few elderly women in their homes until their passing. On Sunday mornings she worked in the nursery for 25 years taking care of all the sweet babies of the church. When she wasn’t working in the nursery, serving in the kitchen at church or socializing with others she liked to read, sew, crochet and bake.
She was preceded in death by her Mother, Mary Hughes Liddell, her Father, Neil Lochiel Liddell, her brother, William Liddell and Her Husband John William Howard II. She is survived by her four Children, their Spouses. Daughter Alice Louise Bradford, Daughter, Jeanette Mary Ann Rudolph, Daughter Wendy Lee Armintrout and Son John William Howard III, Son in Law Richard Bradford, Son in Law Tim Rudolph, Son in Law John Armintrout, & Daughter in Law Kelly Murray.
