Obituary of Paul A. Workman

Paul A. Workman, age 72, Palm Bay, Florida, went to be with his heavenly father on Christmas Day, December 25, 2017, at Holmes Regional Medical Center. Paul was born on July 4, 1945 in Baltimore, MD, he was predeceased by his parents Ira and Mildred (Oleski) Workman and his sister Carolyn Parsons. Surviving his death is his loving wife, Jean, of 35 years; his son Benjamin A. Workman and his fiancée Ashley Porter; sister Phyllis Workman, (all of Palm Bay, Florida); brother Charles Workman, Delmar, MD; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends too many to mention. He is also survived by his two companions: Foxy Lady, Chi/Toy Fox Terrier and Coco, a Chihuahua. Later moving to Salisbury, MD and after graduation in 1962, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving honorably and discharged, September 10, 1962 – January 3, 1967. After discharge from the U.S. Navy, he joined the Salisbury Police Department, Salisbury, MD and was a policeman and a sheriff during his 10 ½ years with the police department. For many years, he had his own carpet cleaning business, tropical fish store, and maintenance business. There was never a time when he didn’t live up to his name “WORKMAN”. He enjoyed repairing things, fishing, traveling, baking and cooking. He could turn anything form something old to absolutely beautiful and of course his passion for eating “Maryland Blue Crabs” was unprecedented. His “Cream of Crab Soup” could not be beat. Place of Interment is January 5, 2018 at 3:00 pm. at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, Mims, FL and the Memorial Service will be held at his church on January 6, 2018 at 2:00 pm. at Faith Baptist Church, 341 Emerson Dr.NW, Palm Bay, FL. His wife, family and friends would like to thank all the people who sent flowers and cards of condolences, visits, phone call in our loss. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
