Obituary of Morlynn Spangler
Morlynn “Lynn” Garnes Spangler was born on September 20, 1934, the seventh child of Ira Cleveland Garnes and Jennetta Likens Garnes, in Wevaco (United), West Virginia.
She passed peacefully into the waiting arms of Jesus on February 16, 2020 at the age of 85.
She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Ronald Dale Spangler. Her sisters Imo Jean Michaelson and Clotina Garnes. Brothers Ashford Cleveland Garnes, Ira Lanceford Garnes, Buford Garnes, and an infant brother.
She graduated from East Bank High School, West Virginia, class of 1952. She and her husband Ron came to Titusville in 1959 with the fledgling Space Program where Ron worked as a missile technician on the Altas. Morlynn was the bookkeeper at Titusville High School in the early 1960s, and later retired from Sears Roebuck in Titusville, Florida in 1998. She greatly loved music, especially big band style, and her grandchildren whom she adored and spoiled. Morlynn had a wonderful sense of humor and delightful laugh. She truly loved life and serving others.
She is survived by her two sons, Richard Dale (Anna) Spangler of Titusville, Florida and Ronald Dean (Charlene) Spangler of Port St John, Florida. Grandchildren Tabatha Ann Lopez, Justin Richard Spangler, Tiffany Lynn Spangler, and Jason Ronald Spangler. Great-grandchildren Thomas, Elizabeth, and Annabelle.
Please join us on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at 2:30 pm for a Celebration of Life service at Redeemer Church, 3580 South Park Avenue, Titusville, Florida. Morlynn will be interred alongside her husband, Ronald, at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida.
