Julie spent most of her early childhood, teens, and early 20’s in Amherst, Shutesbury and the surrounding towns. She also spent a year in Vermont. Julie graduated early from Amherst Regional High School in 1969 and went on to receive her AA from UMass while at the same time working towards her cosmetology license & Bachelors.

Julie’s daughter Cora was born March 31, 1982 and they have been inseparable ever since. Her love of the ocean brought them to Melbourne, Florida in 1989 where she enjoyed the sun and spending time at the beach, boating and surf fishing. She continued to work in salons as well as going on to earn her Medical Associates Degree from Keiser College in 1995. Julie then went to work assisting Dr. Filiberto with his practice in Ear, Nose & Throat and Plastic Surgery.
Julie also love to paint and her “folkadelic” artwork can be found on various forms in many homes. She also loved being a deacon at her church, dancing, playing pool, her extensive record collection dating back to the mid-1960’s and of course continued to love doing hair.

We close this with a prayer Cora found in Julie’s drawer that she had written…
Dear Heavenly Father,
We now invoke your presence. We thank you for this day father, we thank you for our very lives. We thank you for the sun that shines, the moon that glows. We thank you for the food we eat, water we drink, the air we breathe. We thank you for the oceans and streams, the forest and the deserts. We thank you for the opportunity to walk on this planet at this very special time. We thank you for all of our blessings and all of our lessons. But most of all father, we thank you for the unconditional love. We thank you for your son Jesus Christ, the perfect personification of love and the Christ consciousness that dwells within each and everyone of us. May we know it now and make it grow stronger each and every day and radiate out to all we come in contact with. We ask father, that you fill us with the white light of protection and that we be guided in and filled for service. We ask that the light radiate out to our brothers and sisters. We ask that we be clear channels of love and in all we meet and all we do. And we ask this in all faith believing -knowing that your son Jesus walked the earth and will walk again. And through his example and thy will be done, we seal this with the most precious of prayers.
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be thy Name,
thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen.
