Obituary of Martha Frances “Fran” Lambert

Martha Frances “Fran” Lambert, 80, of Melbourne, Florida passed into glory Friday, January 4, 2019 at her home. She was born October 15, 1938 in Hamilton County, Ohio to William and Gertrude Bentley. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Billy Eugene Bentley and Russell Bentley; and her son, Ronald Brewer. Fran grew up in a large family, the third of five children. From her birth she showed a determined personality. Her family lived on a farm until her father passed away when she was 14 years old. After his death, Fran became family-focused and was a caregiver to her younger brother and sister. They attended a country church where she enjoyed going to Sunday School. Fran overcame many hardships due to the absence of her father and became an entrepreneur at an early age. Having owned her own coffee franchise, go-kart tracks, and putt-putt golf courses, she eventually became an insurance broker for over three decades. Fran also became a licensed pilot, fulfilling her dream to fly her own plane. Her passions were enjoying family and friends, bowling, and learning more about Jesus. She never met a stranger and genuinely made everyone she knew feel special. She was a faithful friend and enjoyed playing Hearts, Dominoes, and other games. Fran was continually educating herself. She was particularly delighted to learn new technology from her grandchildren. One of her countless strengths was organization, which she gracefully used in many ways. After a two-year courtship, Fran married Daniel L. Lambert on August 26, 2005. Daniel attributes the joy of living life to her, the love of his life. Together they shared their love for studying the Bible at Calvary Baptist Church. They found great delight in spending time with each other. Daniel describes her as the one who helped him learn to enjoy life and love others well. Extraordinarily gifted in welcoming others, Fran created a home where much love grew. He misses her dearly. Fran is survived by her husband, Daniel L. Lambert; her daughter, Connie Albers (Thomas); grandchildren Paul Albers (Shana), Jeannie Albers, Tyler Albers (Amanda), Jaclyn Rymer (Joshua), Jonathan Albers, Ronnie Brewer, and Shannon Brewer; her sister, Wanda Harkins (Robert); and her brother, Eddie Bentley. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Melbourne, FL.
