Obituary of Joan Dolores “Dee Dee” Walker

Joan Dolores “Dee Dee” Walker, age 87, of Malabar, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017. She died at home surrounded by her daughters and son-in-law, Sunny, Candace and John. Dee Dee is survived by her daughters: Simone (Billy) Kramer, Ormond Beach, FL.; Cher “Sunny” (John) Wright, Malabar, FL.; Candace (Wayne) Perry, Bellevue, WA.; grandchildren: Richard Walker, Pensacola, FL.; Michael Hall, Pensacola, FL.; Trae (Monica) Walker, Monroe, GA.; Christopher (Leigh Ann) Walker, Monroe, GA.; Leon Walker, Monroe, GA.; great-grandchildren: Harrison and Madison Walker, Monroe, GA.; Bella and Harley Walker, Monroe, GA. The tide recedes, but leaves behind bright sea shells on the sand. The sun goes down, but gentle warmth still lingers on the land. The music stops, and yet it echoes on in sweet refrain… For every joy that passes, something beautiful remains. To mourn too long for those we love is self-indulgent. But to honor their memory with a promise to live a little better for having known them, gives purpose to their life and a personal reason for their death. Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun; shine on you crazy diamond. A gathering will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2017, from 10:00 am to 1:00 PM at the Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 950 Malabar Road SE, Palm Bay.
