Obituary of William J. Crow

William J. Crow, 85, of Melbourne, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, August 24, 2014, surrounded by loved ones. He was born and raised in Lucas, Iowa, where he loved to hunt and fish. He enlisted in the United States Navy and served 26 years of dedicated service, retiring as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. He was part of the crew of the U.S.S. Triton submarine when they made the first submerged circumnavigation of the world. Along the way he built a strong and loving family with his wife Violet, who predeceased him in 2003.
