Obituary of Rita M. Marshall

It is with great sadness the family of Rita M. Marshall of Grant, Florida announces her passing on Monday, July 16, 2018 after a brief illness at Holmes Regional Medical Center at the age of 61. Rita will be lovingly remembered by her mother Elizabeth Gates; devoted husband Wayne Marshall; adoring children Angela (Jason) Greene, Jamie McGuire, Austin (Kathleen) McGuire, Bradley (Vanessa) McGuire; stepchildren Karey (Brian) Meehan, Ricky (BeLinda) Marshall; her treasured grandchildren Blaike, Reagan, Braelynn, Rowan, Declan, Kylee, Reilly, Abby, and Ava (expected). Rita is also survived by her many animals, especially her beloved dog, Fred. Rita’s lifelong career as a hairstylist lead to many friendships. She loved people and everyone who knew her also loved her. She was an angel on earth who has now received her wings. She enjoyed spending her days at home on the river. Her favorite activities were spending time at the sandbar in Sebastian with friends and being surrounded by her family. She also loved the Bahamas and was looking forward to an upcoming trip. A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Calvary Chapel, 2955 Minton Rd, W. Melbourne, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brevard Indian River Lagoon Coalition.
