Obituary of Marian Rose Giesken Bert

Marian Rose Giesken Bert, wife, mother, grandmother, mentor and retired legislative assistant passed away quietly on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at the age of 89. Marian was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Albert and Rose Giesken. She was the oldest of four daughters; Rose (William) Ernst, Claire Giesken and Jean (George) Robson. She graduated from Woodward High School in Cincinnati and attended the University of Cincinnati. She married Leonard Carl Bert, Jr. After living briefly in Northern Kentucky they picked up and moved to Brevard County, Florida in 1966. They settled in Indian Harbour Beach, and raised their children Mike, Melissa, Robert (Lisa), Dennis (Christa) and Donald. In addition to her children, she is survived by 8 grandchildren; Justin (Rebecca), Mitchell, Nicholas, Joshua, Jared, Daniel, Alexa, Brianna and a great-granddaughter Elliana, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Marian was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Carl Bert, Jr. and her parents Rose and Albert Giesken.
