Obituary of Linda Marie Brosnan
Linda Marie Brosnan, 61, passed on Monday, May 28, 2018. Linda was a caring mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Her petite stature did not do justice in capturing her large heart and personality. Born in Jersey City, NJ, Linda shortly thereafter began her residency in Melbourne, FL alongside her mother, Elizabeth, and sister, Susan (Jeff) Klugel , where they quickly adapted to the coastal lifestyle of their new home. Equipped with a very outgoing nature, she loved to experience new things, play sports, attend concerts, and spending time with her sister, younger brother, Michael Muchow, and step-father, Thomas Muchow, growing up.
When she got older, her friend, Shelia Brosnan, introduced her to her future husband, Thomas Brosnan, and the two were wed in 1982. Then their family and hearts grew with the addition of their daughters Kelly (Joe Drain) and Nicole. Linda was the type of person who’d give the shirt off her back for anyone who needed it, and no one could outshine the love she held for her daughters. Since the passing of Thomas in 2003, the three Brosnan ladies were an inseparable trio who looked after each other and celebrated each other’s successes.
Linda enjoyed a successful career with the Harris Corporation for over 20 years. During which time she honed her tenacious spirit that she instilled in her daughters as they grew, and she created lasting friendships that would endure after leaving the company. But her professional career never compared to her lust for new experiences and lasting relationships. An unquenchable wanderlust, Linda always looked toward the horizon for new experiences, both directly and vicariously through her family. This zeal for life never waned, even after experiencing setbacks in her health, she never took her foot off the gas and always looking toward the future.
Linda embodied a spirit of excitement, toughness, selflessness, and admiration that will live on in the lives she touched, the family she held, and the legacy she leaves.
For those that would like to say their goodbyes and relish in Linda’s spirit with others, services will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, beginning at 10:30am EST at the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church located at 3050 N Highway A1A, Indialantic,FL 32903.
