Obituary of Maria Farinato

Maria Farinato, 79, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2016. Maria was born in the very small town of Santa Ninfa in Provincia Trapani, Sicily on May 9, 1937. She was the first born child of Giuseppe and Francesca Truglio. They loved her very much. She had two grandmothers and two grandfathers. She was named after her father’s mother whose name was Maria Mistretta Truglio. She grew up on Via Mazzini, very close to her cousins, grandparents, aunt and uncle. She had a lot of friends. Maria came to America in 1952 on a boat that took 12 days to reach New York. She married Vincenzo Farinato on September 22, 1957. Maria was always ready to help somebody when needed and was happy when she could do something to help anybody. She made friends very easily. Her family includes her sons Vincent Farinato Jr. and Joseph Farinato; four siblings, Rose, Frances Philip and Laura and several nieces and nephews. Viewing will be Wednesday, June 8, 2016 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 950 Malabar Road SE, Palm Bay. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Fountainhead Memorial Park, Palm Bay.
