Obituary of Charles Richard McCoy

Charles R. McCoy, Jr. 81, died on Saturday, June 18 ,2016, at his home after a long illness. He was born on January 11,1935, in Lewistown, PA to Charles and Hilda (Birchall) McCoy. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Bernadine (Heck) McCoy; his children Michael McCoy, of Siler City, NC and Marti Jo McCoy of Melbourne, FL; grandson Seth McCoy of NC; sister-in-law Joanne Kerstetter of Selinsgrove, PA and nephew Matthew Kerstetter of MD. He was preceded in death by his nephew Kevin Kerstetterhis grandsons Matthew and Nicholas. Charles served honorably in the US Navy as a sonar technician. He graduated from Lock Haven State College with a degree in Mathematics and Physics. He retired from Lockheed Martin after 41 years working a job he loved. He was active in his church and served as treasurer of his Home owner+óGé¼Gäós Association. Charles is remembered as a man of integrity with a firm grasp of his identity as a loved child of God.
