Obituary of Joseph McClendon

Joseph McClendon, Jr., age 88 of Melbourne passed away on Monday, May 7, 2018. He was born in New York on September 24, 1929 to the late Joseph Sr. and Rachel McClendon. Joseph served his country proudly and retired from the United States Air Force, after retiring he spent 12 years working in civil service. He loved dancing and was active in Melbourne’s Ballroom Dancing and Space Coast Dancing. He also volunteered with Aging Matters in Brevard. He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Geraldine McClendon; daughter Ave Jean McClendon; son Joseph McClendon, III; daughters Anita Joy McClendon and Lisa Jannette McClendon; sister Jean Church; brother Richard George McClendon; grandchildren Nicholis, Rudee, Joseph, Madison King, Lauren King, Amanda Floyd, Karen Floyd, and Jesse Floyd; great grandchildren Avian and Avani; 2 nieces and 2 nephews.
