Obituary of Gary William Clifton “Gator Gary”

Gary William Clifton passed away peacefully surrounded by his close loved ones on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 in Rockledge, Florida at the age of 68.  He was born November 21, 1950 to Harold William Clifton and Rosa Lee Revels in Cocoa, Florida. Gary had many, many friends and family that adored him and that he loved and cherished with all his heart.  He was one of a kind and a friend to everyone.  He was a master mechanic and a professional wrestler in the 70’s.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, airboats, football (especially the Florida Gators!), races, music, dancing, and hanging out with his friends just having a good time!  Gary loved spending all holidays with his family, especially Christmas just like his mother.  He was always known to be a very strong muscle man.  Gary was the life of the party and will be missed by all. Gary is survived by his 4 children – Johnny Clifton, Gary Clifton, Jr., Jamie Clifton, and Tracy Lee, and by 6 grandsons (Colton, Draven, Ahren, Trevor, Christopher, and Tristan), and 5 granddaughters (Alana, Taryn, Lexie, Brooklyn and Elizabeth).  He is also survived by 3 brothers – James Hurst, John Clifton, and Steve Clifton, and 1 sister – Carolyn Berry. Also by the love of his life – Becky Clifton and his best friend – Joe Mitchell. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, 1 sister – Connie Clifton, as well as many other relatives and friends.
