Obituary of Thomas H. Rothwell

MELBOURNE-Thomas H. Rothwell, 86, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018, peacefully with loving family by his side.  He was born in Lynnbrook, NY. He never lost his New York Accent and was a colorful storyteller, sharing stories of his childhood at Jones Beach, his college days at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and his adventures in Europe installing radar in North Africa.  He moved to Melbourne from Reston, VA. He spent 40 years as an Aeronautical Engineer for Grumman Aerospace, making contributions to prestigious aircraft including the F-14 Tomcat , and E2C Hawkeye. Tom retired from Grumman at Age 62. He traveled extensively throughout the US via his Motor Home, and spent countless hours with his grandchildren Zoel, Bess, Thomas, and Trevor. Tom leaves behind two daughters, Amy and Wendy, and a wonderful circle of friends as well as dance partners.
