Obituary of Pierre Alix Trevant
Pierre Michel Alix Trevant, also known as “milo or doc” was the son of Eli Trevant and Adele Labissiere. He was born September 11, 1932 in Archaie, Haiti. He was a very pleasant and intelligent young man. He loved school and progressed at the top of his classes in Primary and Secondary school. He loved God and his church, he was an altar boy and wanted to become a priest. His father advised him to become a physician where he can help others in the medical field, he possessed a brilliant mind. In 1957 he received his doctorate degree from the University of Haiti.
Pierre was a very humble doctor practicing in Haiti. He helped wherever the need was present. He didn’t care if you had the money, he would write a prescription. This is where the name “doc” came from.
Later on in his life he moved to Boston to join his siblings where he was remembered by all of his former patients. In 1999 he moved to Palm Bay and married the late Adeline Trevant and was baptized in the Palm Bay SDA Church. He lived in Florida for 17 years and made numerous friends. Many of us will remember him as the man who loves to read books and walk long miles in Palm Bay. You can always catch him reading a book or walking to keep fit. He will be missed by all.
He is survived by his brother, Francis Trevant, his son, Robert Trevant and Eliante Trevant (wife), Johanne, Nadeige, Florence, Rachelle, Marjorie and Katia (step daughter), grandchildren and great grandchildren, Elaine, Sahir and other family members and friends.
