Obituary of Robert James Drummond
Robert James Drummond, 71 passed away on Monday, October 28th, 2019, peacefully. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he moved to Indialantic, Florida in 1994.
Bob, as he was known by friends and family, worked for NOAA as a Meteorologist for 34 years. He worked at weather stations in New York, Virginia, Minnesota, North Dakota, Georgia and Florida. He worked many years at the National Weather Service Office in JFK Airport in New York. His final job with NOAA before retirement was as the Port Meteorological Officer in Port Everglades, Ft. Lauderdale. Over the years he enjoyed many hobbies including; auto cross racing, photography, baseball and golf.
A loving father and grandfather his family includes his daughter, Christina Jordan and son, Gabriel Drummond; grandson, Harlen Jordan and great grandson, Brody. Extended family includes, his sister, Maryann Grabasky and her husband Robert, his sister Elizabeth Robertson and her husband, James.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Kaufmann Drummond and Veronica Gertrude Hills.
A memorial service with military honors will be held at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 1001 South Hickory St. on Saturday, January 18th at 1 p.m.
