Don and I were so saddened to hear about Don passing away. He was such a trooper and we knew how much he fought his cancer and was able to live so many more years. Jill and his family provided so many happy times for him. We not only grieve losing Don, but we recently lost Wayne Slosser and we remember both of them as being such friendly, faithful ushers at SBUMC. We pray that you will feel God’s embrace during the difficult days ahead.

Dear Jill, Mike, Scott, Darren and Cathy:
How BLESSED we have both been all these years to call Donnie our Best Friend In the world.
We have shared so many laughs, concerns, the good times and the bad. Always there has been a Donnie Comber in Carole’s life and can’t imagine a world without him. The same good natured young boy continued to grow up to be the same man with a warm and endearing way that everyone came to love.
We are going to quote one of his favourite sayings,
SAYONARA ……TIME TO SAY GOODBYE
You will always be near and dear to us.

Dear Jill, Scott, Darren, Cathy and Family
Jeff and I are so sorry to hear of Donnie’s passing. He was such a warm and happy soul to be around and an inspiration to all on living life to it’s fullest.
We recall enjoying his wonderful sense of humor when we met at the Firemaen’s breakfasts, Cherry Hill Fun Run, or just out and about in Petite.
Wherever his family was, he was always right there with you….and that’s where he will always be!
May you find comfort in your loving memories and know that you are in our thoughts.
Love Mike & Jeff

Jill & Family,
I was deeply saddened by the news of Donnie’s passing. His memory will live on each time footsteps touch the beaches of Green Bay. Please take comfort in the fact Donnie feels no more mortal pain & he now knows all th secrets of the universe. Enjoy the ride to the Great Beyond, Donnie, we’ll miss you at the beach! We will not be able to make the service on Friday, however we’ll stop by Beachcomber II to pass on our sympathies over the next few days.
We’ll certainly miss his golf cart “wave & warm smile”as he drove by & the sound of laughter from such a wonderful man.
With Deepest Sympathy,
Tom & family

To the family of Donnie Comber,
While I didn’t have the privilege of personally knowing your loved one, I see he touched many lives through his family and friends, his career as he traveled the world, and his many involvements in community and church. On behalf of the Maritime Conference and myself, I extend our deep appreciation for his many contributions of time, talent, and financial resources over the years to the United Church. I was particularly touched to see he and his wife started a youth group, something close to my heart, in Bridgewater UC. Please accept our heartfelt condolences on his death. May your memories and God’s love bring you comfort and sustain you through this difficult time. In Peace, Rev. Gloria Churchill, President of Maritime Conference of the United Church of Canada

Saddened to hear about Donnie’s passing. Many happy memories of spending so much time with Cathy, practically living at your home in Bwater. Loved his pleasant disposition and soft laugh and I always looked forward to Cathy’s birthday special meal of reuben sandwiches. Thinking of your entire family and sending out special prayers
