Obituary of Donald Roy Thompson
Donald Roy Thompson Jr. passed away on February 12, 2019. He was born on August 26, 1968 and was the son of Donald Roy Thompson and Patricia Lee (Maddox) Thompson.
Donnie was born and raised in Melbourne, Florida and was a lifelong resident. He spent most of his time fishing, hunting, air boating, and appreciating the outdoors. Donnie had a very quick wit along with a keen sense of humor. He enjoyed making others smile and laugh. He loved his family and his friends and always enjoyed spending time with them. Donnie also loved baseball, football, and spent many years coaching his two daughters in fastpitch softball. He was also an avid Florida State fan. Donnie had a very special bond with his two daughters and his four grandchildren, all whom he dearly loved.
Donnie is survived by his two daughters, Jamie Thompson and Jodie Thompson; three grandchildren, Gaines, Grant, and Charlie; mother, Patricia Thompson; sister, Kim Seiler; brother, Marshall Thompson. He is also survived by his Sweetheart, his fiancé, Samantha Belli and her son Zachary Belli.
He was predeceased by his first granddaughter, Grace, and his father, Donald Thompson.
Donnie’s celebration of life will be held at Lake Washington on Saturday, February 23. The celebration begins at 2pm and will conclude at sunset.
In lieu of flowers, Donnie’s daughters are asking for everyone to bring pictures, memories, and fun stories of Donnie to his celebration of life.
