Obituary of Ellison L. Reed

Ellison L. Reed passed away peacefully on September 27, 2019 at Wuesthoff Hospice House in Rockledge, FL. Eric, as he was commonly known by, was born in Palmyra, NJ in 1946 and spent most of his life in the Southern New Jersey/Philadelphia area before moving to Brevard County, FL in 1995. Ellison proudly served his country in the United States Navy for several years. He loved his time in the Navy and his country immensely. Ellison is predeceased by his loving mother Theda Reed Martucci, step-father Ralph Martucci, his sisters Pat DeSante and JoAnn Olive and his brother Rick Martucci. Ellison is survived by his children that will miss him very much. They include his eldest son Eric Reed of Rockville, MD and his children Ryan and Brandon; his daughter Ashley Reed Weinmann of Cinnaminson, NJ and her children Michael and Alexandria and his youngest son Derek Reed of Titusville, FL and his daughter Abigail. Ellison also leaves behind his younger sisters Rose Martucci Nocera of Myrtle Beach, SC and Diana Martucci Snyder of Pennsauken, NJ. Our family would like to thank all the staff at Rockledge Regional Medical Center who took such good care of him while he was there. And a very special thank you to the entire staff at Wuesthoff Hospice House for their love, support and care for Ellison and our family in his last days with us. You are ALL angels. Ellison’s wish was to be cremated and his ashes be spread in NJ with his mother. A small service will be announced at a later date. Ellison adored his family.  He was greatly loved by his family and he will forever remain in their hearts for eternity.
