Obituary of Ruth Ellen Puckett

Ruth Ellen Puckett, 89, of Palm Bay, Florida died on Monday, October 6, 2014. She was born on February 6, 1925 in Jenkins, Kentucky, the daughter of Landis D. and Mary L. (Hayes) Bates. She is survived by her daughters, Phyllis Young, Betty Puckett, Linda Askew, and Karen Sweeney; her sons, Richard Puckett, Frank A. Puckett, Charles Puckett, and James Puckett; 21 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Mary Elizabeth Holcomb, Jean Hillman, Jackie Hubbard and Dixie Cox. She was preceded by her parents, 10 siblings, and her former husband Frank. Her funeral service will be on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 950 Malabar Road, S.E., Palm Bay, Florida (321) 724-2224. Burial will be at Wise Cemetery, Wise, Virginia.
