I just found this beautiful piece of artwork (Saginaw, Mi) while thrifting this week. I could tell as soon as I saw it that it was quality and had to try and find out about the artist. He has it dated 1975 M. When I came across his obituary, my heart sank, but as I read it, it showed me that he lived a great fulfilling life. His legacy still lives on through his art and I felt the urge I was supposed to share that here for all that had loved him and maybe it would bring back a happy memory of the day he was painting it. My condolences to all of you.

Dear Geri , I am so sorry to hear of the Dick’s passing. I know he fought hard and long to stay with you. somehow all our fight is to no avail. when our time comes–it comes. I remember how wrmly Dick welcomed me into the Sebastian ARt Club and made me feel at home. You both made my stay in Sebastian a happy experience.
God bless and keep you,

Dear Geri,
My heartfelt condolences go out to you and your family. Richard was a linchpin of the Sebastian River Art Club for so long, and all us “Old Timers” appreciate all that you both have done for the Club. Richard, your sage advice regarding all things Club and Art were always spot on, and you always stood up for what was right and true, which was especially appreciated by me. God bless you all, and Richard I’ll see you once again in that beautiful art studio in the sky . . . we’ll paint clouds!

Geri, you’re in my thoughts and prayers. I’m treasuring many special memories made through all the years. Dick loved nature as evidenced in his beautiful paintings and gardens. And nature loved him! I’m remembering Chickabelle, the chicken who showed up battle fatigued and featherless. She found refuge and restoration (and longevity) in your garage, enjoying specially prepared and hand fed food… by Dick . Geri, may the LORD hold you close. ♥️

Aunt Geri,
So sorry for your loss. Our Uncle Dick will be missed. We will always cherish the good times during our visits to Florida. As kids on our trips down we loved to visit your house to see the beautiful back yard, hearing all the stories and collection of VHS tapes to borrow!
