Obituary of Joaquin “Joey”
Joaquin (Joey) Caro-Matias, 56, of Palm Bay, FL, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at his home in Palm Bay. Born in the Bronx, NY, he shared most of his adult years in Palm Bay, FL & in Arecibo, Puerto Rico.
He was a Big Hearted Loving Son, Father, Grandfather, Cousin, Uncle and Friend to many. He is survived by his Son, Heriberto Caro-Caban of Palm Bay; Son-In-Law and Daughter of Palm Bay, Michael & Wendy Osborn-Caro who are the parents of his grandchildren Deon, Mykel & Joshua; Son-In-Law & Daughter of Tampa, Raymond & Ashley Morris-Caro who are the parents of his Grandchild who preceded in passing, Rayelle; Parents of Palm Bay, Heriberto and Ramonita Caro; Sister Annette Caro of Palm Bay; & Brother Heriberto Caro Jr who preceded in passing. We as a family know he is enjoying the Presence of his Lord & family already in Heaven.
Joaquin a God fearing educated man who earned a degree in Theology & Masters in Management. He served the Lord ministering throughout his years. From prison ministry to be being a leader of the Charismatic Catholic group. He was recognized for his dedication to bringing the word of God to everyone he encountered. He Worked about 18 years in the Aerospace Industry and retired from United Space Alliance. At which time he was in need of a heart transplant evaluation that he received. He encourages all to give life & be an organ donor. His favorite thing was spending time with family, friends, and meeting new people.A Mass will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at his home church, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church located at 420 Fee Ave. Father Carr will officiate. Following the Mass we will Celebrate His Life in the Parish Hall located across from the church
