Obituary of Brian Lee Goins

Brian Lee Goins was born on 30 August 1960 in Palatka, Florida to Robert Gerald and Beverly Elaine (Goodspeed) Goins. Brian grew up in Gainesville, Florida with four siblings, Judith Elaine Stephens, Cyril Marcus Stephens, Croy Paul Goins and Stefanie Kelly Goins. He led an active childhood, biking around the city and racing go-karts with his father and Croy. Brian left high school in his senior year but completed his GED prior to joining the United States Air Force in June 1978. Brian was a Logistics Specialist and Supply Computer Operator. He served around the world, Minot AFB, ND, Incirlik AB, Turkey, Clark AB, Philippines, Norton AFB, CA, Lakenheath AB, United Kingdom, Fairchild AFB, WA with a final tour at Osan AB, Korea. Other notable locations he visited were Egypt and Diego Garcia, Indian Ocean. Brian returned to Florida in 1995 to live and work in the Melbourne area. Brian enjoyed fishing, boating and riding ATVs with friends and family. Brian passed away on 2 June 2019 after a sudden illness. Brian was preceded in death by his father, Robert Gerald Goins. He is survived by his children, Thomas Scott Goins, Robert Brian Goins and Amy Eleanor Goins and his granddaughter, Amy’s daughter Olivia. Other survivors include his mother Beverly Goins, siblings and multiple nieces and nephews. Brian will be cremated by Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care in Melbourne, Florida. No memorial service is planned at this time. A celebration of his life may be planned in future.
