Here we are, with Bob three months in Heaven, offering our sincere condolences for the loss of Bob … here, on earth. Bob is surely in Heaven, organizing, shaking hands and making the newbies feel welcome. To us Bob was a warm, wonderful friend. Camping stands out … as well as the hospitality when we visited while passing through on the return trip to home. We send a big ‘Bob’ hug to the family, and know that Bob will forever be in our hearts.

Sincere condolences, Nancy and family!
I have missed seeing your smiling faces at St Eugene’s, but assumed we were just at different services, and it does seem like I saw your not all that long ago… but I am getting a little disoriented to time myself. It was always a joy to see you and your family, and if you will forget Bob’s hugs and big smile that cut through just about any gloomy mood. Utah’s personified my favorite him “all are welcome” And we trust he’s probably standing right next to Saint Peter, welcoming the new folks through the prearly gates.
Bob’s obituary is a lovely tribute to a life well lived and an enduring romance and loving family. Sorry I didn’t know you both better while you were Ashevillans.
Best regards,
Eileen

I have fond memories of Bob here in Asheville, and had the pleasure of knowing him for the past sixteen years. He was always jovial and kind to me and my family. He will indeed be missed.

My heartfelt condolences to the entire Charette family. Mr. Charette was a beacon of light to not only his family, but to those he helped form through the Scouting movement. I was blessed to have him as a Scout leader and mentor. Much of who I am today can be attributed to his service. May God bring you peace and comfort. With deepest sympathy, Alex Van Vianen, Troop 111

Mr . Charette was truly one of a kind , a gentle giant to me whose faith could never be outmatched. He’s surely singing next to God with the choir of angels his being the most beautiful of course . When heaven got him they got a devotee of Christ who never wavered from his faith , though I’m very sad on earth I know we will meet again because he shared his great faith with me as
well . Rest deeply in peace. No more pain 72 degrees and sunny in heaven always. . Janice

I have very fond memories for your husband and your dad, he made me feel like one of his daughters and welcomed me into y’all’s home and into his heart. I’m saddened to hear of his passing, but I know that he loved the Lord and he has received many crowns for his faithfulness and love for his family for his friends and his community. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.
