Obituary of Marvin M. Goldberg
Marvin M. Goldberg, 91, of Melbourne, FL died March 17, 2014. He was born on January 16, 1923 in Detroit, MI to Max and Tillie Sternberg Goldberg.
His family includes his wife of 67 years Betty; and children, Sherry (Rob) Goncharsky, Bob Goldberg, and Janet (Nick) Padway; brothers, Sandford Goldberg and Gerald Goldberg; grandchildren, Abbe, Amy, Margaret, Joseph, Sarah, Ethan, Jonathan, and Milton; great-grandchildren, Calista and Theodore.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Max and Tillie Goldberg, his sister, Esther Cohen and his brother, Coleman Goldberg.
Marvin was a CPA for over 50 years in the Chicago area. He graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. He was a past president of Temple Isaiah Israel and a past president of the Brotherhood of Temple Israel, both in Chicago. An honorably discharged WWII veteran, he was a B-17 pilot, having flown 25 missions, a member of the Illinois Civil Air Patrol, and also flew his own airplane. He played softball as a pitcher and first baseman.

His funeral service is Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 10:00 am at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 1001 S.
