Greg and Family- Not much we can do or say to make you folks feel any better about losing Mom. Please know that Gloria and I will miss our neighbor, Pat, as she was a delight to spend time with. On a positive note, we’re glad she didn’t suffer at the end. See you folks at the memorial ceremony on 21 November and rest in peace, Patricia Billman.

Gregg I did not know you personally, but your Mom spoke of you often. I knew your Mom and Chuck from my St Croix days back in the 80’s. Those were some wonderful days, and I hold those memories dear to my heart. Pat was an inspriration to me, and like a second mother to me really. I remember one morning driving to work and hearing the song “Mockingbird Hill”, which I had not heard in many years. That particular morning making a stop at Hamm’s Bluff, I heard Pat mention that she had heard that song and saying the same thing I did. We laughed as no one else could appreciate it like we did. One of those cosmic connections I guess.
I miss her! So sorry for your loss Gregg.

Mr Bill, a Mother is the first relation that we make when we come into this world. She is our first friend and our very first teacher who is always there to guide us and shower her unconditional love on us. She has a special place in our hearts no matter how old we get. Thank you for sharing your mother with so many of us at the Marina and your home. I remember one evening spending about 2 hours with her (and your cousin–an RN)at your home and thoroughly enjoyed her thoughts and opinions. It was obvious that even though she missed her partner that she was thankful for the life all of you had together as a family.
