Obituary of Sally Ann Monnett
Sally Ann Monnett passed away peacefully in her home in Melbourne, Florida on March 17, 2019, at the age of 81.
Sally was born in Toledo, Ohio. This is where she met the love of her life, Jarot “Jerry” Monnett. A short time after they married they started their family. They had 4 children before moving to Orlando, Florida in the 60’s.
Once in Florida Sally helped Jerry with his businesses while also being a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and doing crafts. Her recipes will continue to pass through the family for generations to come.
Sally and Jerry enjoyed traveling and camping. Through their travels they fell in love with the mountains in North Carolina. In the early 2000’s they decided to make North Carolina their home. They resided in the mountains for 13 years before returning to Florida.
Sally loved her family more than anything else in the world. She had a heart of gold and you could feel her warmth radiate throughout. She never met a stranger. She kept in contact with almost everyone she met throughout her life. She genuinely cared about all those she met. Sally was loved by so many people and everyone who knew her will be missing her greatly.
Sally is predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Jerry, her son Butch, and her sister Norma.
She is survived by her brother Michael. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Debbie (Jim), Carrie (Mark); son, Kenny (Cindy); daughter-in-law, Kathy; grandchildren, Ali (Shane), Fred, David, Curt, Kyle (Kendra), Nikki (John), Danny (Catherine), Corey, Ryan, Markie and Jodie; she will be missed dearly by her 15 great-grandchildren.
Services are scheduled for 11am, Saturday, March 30th at Great Outdoors Community Church, 144 Plantation Drive, Titusville, Florida 32780.
