Obituary of Everett Addison Eslinger
Everett Addison +óGé¼+ôE.A.+óGé¼-¥ Eslinger, 87, of Melbourne, FL died July 27, 2015. He was born on August 4, 1927 in Miami, FL to Everett Addison and Amelia Skinner Eslinger, Sr.
A wonderful family man, his family includes his daughter Nancy (Steve) Redoway; son Dan (Patricia) Eslinger; grandson Daniel (Heather) Eslinger; granddaughters Gina (Freddie Karthauser) Eslinger, Christina Rubial, Estefania (Jarrett) Sowers, Lory (Dave) Milton, Lisa (C.J.) Ilano; and great grandchildren Landon, Jordan, Dorrian, Joshua, Zachary, Noah, Blake, Bodhi, Ethan, Molly, Cooper, Jacob, and Ava. Lucy Rosato, an adopted member of the family, was a very special friend.
He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Whitfield Eslinger.
E.A. Served honorably in the US Marine Corps and worked for Southern Bell which became Bell South for 38 years. An avid golfer, he loved to fish, visit the horse track, enjoyed Merle Haggard’s music, and was an amateur organ player. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.
His family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to hospice nurses Diana and Patty, and social worker Joanna for their special bond with him. Additionally, our sincere gratitude to the staff at William Childs Hospice House, especially to nurses Philly, Maureen, Jan, Cheryl and Dr. Ruiz, the most compassionate doctor we ever met. Also he received incredible care at The Fountains Assisted Living with special thanks to Stephanie and Pam who treated him like their dad; nurses Carol and Brenda, we know both of them went above and beyond, and his med tech Stephanie who always called him baby. Thank you to all the residents he befriended and always spoke highly of each of you.
