I knew Sallie from rowing and always appreciated her happy face and love for the sport. I am sad that she has passed so early in her life.

I knew Sallie when she was a member of the Treasure Coast Rowing Club in Palm City in 2010-15. She was always the center of the social gatherings and up for a road trip to a regatta. Once she showed up for a race Where I was competing in Philadelphia!!! So sad. A bright spirit has passed away.

Jamie: It was so nice to hook up again with your mom at our reunion back in 2012. And, because we both lived in Florida, we got together several times after that—not only in Florida but also one summer in Chg. We even did a cruise together. She was always so full of life and, because of that, it was hard to see her struggle after the diagnosis. She was forever telling me about all the costumes you made for parties over the years and showing me pics of you guys all dressed up. She loved all those good times!
I will deeply miss her friendship—but glad that she doesn’t have to suffer anymore! Cleta

Dear Jamie and Family,
I was a classmate of Sallie’s at O’Fallon Township High School and occasionally would go over to her house after school, since it was close to school and on my way home. We would have lots of laughs about the school day and that is how I see Sallie in my mind.. smiling, full of joy and sunshine. It was so nice to see her at the 2012 reunion and chat about old times.. she hadn’t changed a bit.. a beautiful person with a zest for life. She will be remembered and missed.
Rest in Peace, Sallie. With Love,
JoAnne Bachelor Griffin.

So sorry to hear of Sallie’s passing. We were close friends in high school and I got to see her at her high school reunion in 2012. She always had a smile and kind words for everyone. She loved Sports Cars, Music and was a big Rolling Stones fan! She will be truly missed! May she rest in Peace! My condolences to her family.

So sorry for your loss. Your mother was a beautiful woman and kind person. I recognized the photo in the obituary from the early 80’s when
she posed for me and I shot several at your home and at the carillon in springfield.
We were friends and when she left the state for fla I lost touch with her as I was traveling also with my job. I’m sure I still have a lot of those photos. At the time I did a lot of photography and it almost became a career, if you’d like any others I’d be glad to look them up and email them to you
