Obituary of Joy Ann Henry

Joy Henry, 53, died peacefully Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at St Francis Hospice House. She was born in Fairbanks, Alaska, February 22, 1962. She grew up in Orlando, then moved to Melbourne, where she became the first female firefighter in Brevard County where she retired as a lieutenant after 27 years of service. A loving, devoted wife and mother, her family included husband, Danny, daughters Tara and Elisabeth, grandson, Colten, brothers Tom, and Shawn, sister, Simone, and her mother, Jean Bame. Calling hours are between 1pm and 2pm with the funeral following at 2pm Saturday, June 13 2015. Both are at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church 1591 Highland Ave., Melbourne, 32935.
