Obituary of Jack A. Sinnes
Dr. Jack Sinnes, 71, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2019.
Born on July 3, 1947, Jack was the second born son to William and Josephine Sinnes. He graduated from Ohio State with a doctorate in optometry, and moved to Brevard County where he opened his own optometry practice. Jack was well loved by his patients, and respected throughout the community.
He was the president of the Jaycees (Florida Junior Chamber of Commerce) and an avid member of the Knights of Columbus. Jack resided in Viera, Florida and was an active member of the Prince of Peace Church. Jack will always be remembered for his kind demeanor and easy laugh. He was the definition of a true gentleman, and instilled his morals and values into his children and grandchildren. Jack loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them as much as possible. He will be remembered fondly by those who knew him.
He is survived by his son Anthony Joseph (Meghan) Sinnes, daughter Cindy Lee (Jason) Wells, his first wife Shirley Sinnes, his siblings William (Ruthie) Sinnes, Ronald (Marilyn) Sinnes, Chris (Tammie) Sinnes, in laws Bunny (Thomas) Gulbronson, several nieces and nephews, grandchildren Kendra Tharp-Sinnes, Jaymes Tharp-Sinnes, Mitchell Tharp-Sinnes, Kai Sinnes, and great grandchild Brycen Tharp. He is proceeded in death by his wife Melissa Sinnes and his his stepson James Hughett.
In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made, in honor of his late wife Melissa, to the Brevard Alzheimer’s Foundation, 4676 N Wickham Road, Melbourne FL 32935.
A service to celebrate and remember his life will be at 4pm on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 1001 Hickory Street, Melbourne FL 32901.
