Obituary of Lynne Alice Gaskell Johansen

Our mother, Lynne Johansen, went home to heaven on 8/13/2018. She is survived by her loving children, Jody (John) Hayes, Kathryn (Al) Columbia and Scott Johansen. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Amy, James, Michael, Johnny, Zachary, Jacob and Ashley and her great-grandchildren, Morgan, Eleora, Ivan, and Tessa. She was pre-deceased by our father, Fred Johansen. Our mother was a beautiful, loving, multi-talented person who spread love and sunshine to whomever she met. She was an accomplished artist, creating ocean scenes that brought tranquility, woodland scenes that made you feel you were there, and pen and ink drawings with so much detail you had to look at them several times to catch all the details. Her faith was a big part of who she was and her love for people. She would greet someone new with a ready smile and a ready word of encouragement or a word of prayer. Her most important role, one she cherished, was that of being our mother. Whether imparting wisdom, offering up prayers, or sharing a laugh with her children, her love for her children was always there. We will miss her greatly. Until we see you again…we love you, mom!
