Obituary of Margaret Mary Geddes Cook

Margaret Mary Geddes Cook passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. Marge was born on May 21, 1941 in Brooklyn, NY and is a graduate of St. Joseph’s Catholic High School.  After moving to Melbourne, Florida with her parents in 1959, Marge was a Tech Lab secretary at Patrick Air Force Base. After the births of her 3 children, in 1968, she began a 35 year career with Brevard County Schools as a secretary at Harbor City Elementary, Croton Elementary and the South Area Superintendents Office in Viera. Marge finished her career with the Brevard Schools Foundation. An avid bowler for over 50 years, Marge was active in several bowling leagues throughout Brevard County and a member of the Florida Bowling Queens. Marge was predeceased by her parents Margaret and Charles Geddes.  She is survived by her children, daughter Christina (Dale) Morrison, sons Thomas (Arita) Cook and Michael Cook.  She is also survived by former daughter-in-law Laurie Richards, grandchildren Holly, Aaron, Janie, Kendra, Zoey and great granddaughter Brylee. Special thanks to Melbourne Terrace Nurse Seeta and Holmes Regional Medical Center Nurse Daun and Paramedic Terra for their compassionate care of mom and kindness to our family. A funeral mass is scheduled at Ascension Catholic Church on Saturday, January 20th at 11:30am.
